Scott Lakefield began his radio career with an internship at WOR during the summer of 1995, working with Ken and Daria Dolan. He returned to the station in the fall of 1995, when he began co-producing The Dolans. In May of 1996, Scott took over the full-time production of the show, a post he held until his promotion to Assistant Program Director in April 2002. He also produced Dr. Joy Browne’s program from April 2002 through August 2006.
Mr. Lakefield is a 1996 graduate of Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He holds a dual major in communications and journalism/mass media, with a minor in economics.
During his time at Rutgers, Scott hosted a weekly pop music radio program on one of the campus' two radio stations, and later became both program director and music director of the station.
Scott and his wife, Michelle, live in New Jersey. When he's not at work at WOR, or working on the new Lakefield townhouse, Scott's hobbies include reading, listening to music, and working on Sudoku puzzles. During the summer, you're likely to find Scott and Michelle spending their spare time relaxing on their favorite beach, or attending a concert by the bands Chicago (Scott’s choice) and Bon Jovi (Michelle’s choice).
