(NY, NY–December 11, 2006) The WOR Radio Network announced today that Food Talk with Michael Colameco will be syndicated nationally with a live two-hour weekend call-in show beginning Sunday, January 7th, 2007 at 10am ET! Michael brings his expert advice and topical talk on all things food-related, welcoming nationally recognized food guests, authors, and celebrity chefs such as Bobby Flay, Jacques Pepin, Charlie Palmer, and Lidia Bastianich, among others. Every food topic is on the table - recipes, party planning, wine choices, cutlery, appliances, cooking techniques, and much more! Food Talk with Michael Colameco airs Sundays from 10a-12noon ET with refeeds.
Since September, Michael has been the popular weekday host of Food Talk on the network’s flagship station WOR Radio 710 HD in New York, which will also air the show live on Sundays. He is also host and producer of Colameco’s Food Show, airing on public television channels 13/WNET, NJN and CPTV2. A Philadelphia native, Michael has been working in the food industry in New York City and New Jersey since the early 1980s. His energy, knowledge and down-to-earth approach to food are addicting.

About Michael Colameco Michael graduated from The Culinary Institute of America and went to work at "Four Season's Restaurant" under Chef Seppi Rengli. He has been Sous Chef at "Maurice Restaurant," Restaurant Chef at "Cellar in the Sky"/"Windows on The World," Exec. Sous Chef/Night Chef at "Tavern on The Green" and Executive Chef at "The Ritz Carlton" on Central Park South in New York City. Michael was most recently the Chef Owner of the "Globe Restaurant" in Cape May, NJ. On top of twenty-plus years in restaurant kitchens, Michael’s well-trained palate was further developed by touring Europe and dining at countless restaurants featuring regional cuisines. He also owned an import food brokerage business which had him traveling throughout Europe and Morocco. Michael currently resides in coastal New Jersey with wife Heijung Park-Colameco, and their two sons. |
