New York Post Slams Greg Kelly Rape Accuser

Greg Kelly is going back to work as co-anchor of Good Day New York on Fox 5, cleared of accusations of rape.  His name has been cleared, but now it seems there is an effort to trash the reputation of the woman who made the allegation.

For some reason the New York Post is intent on turning his accuser into a social pariah. We all know the Post can be cutthroat, but even for them, this is over-the-top. Three pages of trash talk simply wasn't enough for the tabloid magazine, they also published her name and added suggestive pictures on the front page with the title, "SHADY LADY: 'Rape' beauty could not remember sex with Kelly". Columnist Andrea Peyser even called for charges to be brought against the accuser.

It is apparent that the Post is out for blood, but could it have anything to do with the fact that Kelly's employer Fox 5 and the Post are both owned by Rupert Murdoch?

Such behavior by a media outlet should not be tolerated. Whether she made it up or not, the Post's decision to publicly humiliate this woman only deters other victims of sexual assault to come forward with their stories.

For everyone's sake I think we should move on. The woman has already been through the ringer, and Kelly is going back to work. I doubt either want the details of their star-struck impromptu hookup to continue to be splashed across the tabloids.
