(New York, New York – September 13, 2006) WOR Radio 710 HD has announced that Chef Michael Colameco will be the new host of the station’s popular “Food Talk!” Tri-staters know Michael as the host and producer of Colameco’s Food Show, airing on public television channels 13/WNET, NJN and CPTV2. A Philadelphia native, Michael has been working in the food industry in New York City and New Jersey since the early 1980s. His energy, knowledge and down-to-earth approach to food are addicting.
When asked about his new show while on vacation in Europe, Michael commented, “New York has such a dynamic restaurant scene; there’s nothing like it on the planet. I want to try and expand our base a bit by including more restaurants and involving as much of the City as I can. I’ll talk with our listeners about anything food-related, restaurant-related, and equipment-related, so it’s more than recipes. I love New York, and I love the audience. It’s a great town, it’s a great format, and WOR is a great station. Can you imagine, I’m in Italy, and I can’t wait to get home to start the show!”
“Food Talk with Michael Colameco” airs weekdays, 11a-12n ET, on WOR Radio 710 HD in New York (starting Monday, September 18, 2006.) The listener call-in number is 1-800-321-0710. Streaming and podcasting are available online at wor710.com.
