There are two types of wiper blade technology; bracketless (or beam) and bracketed (or conventional). The market is seeing more of a shift to the bracketless technology. One of the many features of bracketless wiper blades is that they distribute even pressure along the entire blade for consistent wiping performance and even wear on the rubber.
