The Empire State Building is set to lose it's title as the tallest building in New York City as soon as next week. According to an official, One World Trade Center is expected to tower over the Empire State building by more than 230 feet, and about 50 feet taller than the former twin towers.
Today the Supreme Court decided against hearing the case of James D. Harmon, an Upper West Side landlord that filed suit against the city of New York, claiming rent-stabilization is unconstitutional.
There is no doubt about it: New York is EXPENSIVE. But how expensive? How much dough do you need to get through the day in the big apple with a coffee here, a subway ride there? Well, who better to ask than New Yorkers themselves.
After Saturday's arrests of seventy Occupy Wall Street Protesters at Zucotti Park, the NYPD may have a reason for tightening up security. But maintaining the extra officers for Wall Street's famous Bronze bull may be taking it a bit too far.
