New York Giants Parade: A Mile of Confetti up NYC's Broadway

“Big Blue gave us a game to remember, and on Tuesday we’re going to give them a parade to remember,” New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg boasted after Sunday’s win in Indianapolis.

Beginning at 11 a.m., WOR710.com will live stream the Super Bowl XLVI Champions ticker-tape parade honoring the New York Giants from our office in Lower Manhattan.

The parade will begin at Battery Place and Washington Street and continue northbound up the Canyon of Heroes to Worth Street. It will then be followed by a ceremony at City Hall Plaza where Bloomberg will present the team with symbolic keys to the city.

Bloomberg says the parade for the Super Bowl champions will have an estimated economic impact of up to $38 million for the city, depending on the number of spectators. As many as 1 million are expected, about a third of them from outside New York.

The ceremony only offers limited space, and held a public giveaway Monday for 250 winners. There will be three large screens around City Hall for members of the public to watch the ceremony. The parade is open to all members of the public, but some fans arrived as early as five in the morning to claim to their spot.

There are no tickets or passes to any portion of the parade, and any such offers are fraudulent.
